Over the years, I’ve come to the realization that a lot of the toxicity when it comes to Big Brother is from the fans and not the housemates. To be honest, I like a little something about each housemate this year; and I tried to see them all as the humans they are. They’re flawed, make poor choices and have to learn some lessons the tough way. So even though there have been some housemates that have made me roll my eyes a lot of times, I’ve tried not to engage in the condescension I’ve seen others do online. But the attacks on this girl is really too much and completely unnecessary. She may not be your cup of tea, and that’s fine; but the vitriol with which you are attacking someone you don’t know speaks volumes about you. I like her, she’s sweet, wears her heart on her sleeves, sometimes doesn’t know when to shut up and I feel she has a lot of growing up to do; but she’s baring it all for the world to see, that’s something not many of us will be brave enough to do. So please let’s enjoy the show, support our favourites without muddying ourselves. @dstv_ghana
